Thank you to everyone who walked or sponsored the Freedom Walk! We walked over 1,500 laps! Donations will still be accepted through Wednesday (10/19)!
What: Freedom Walk
Who:
- Menlo Atherton Save Every Slave Club in partnership with Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition
- Informational booths by Freedom House, Not For Sale Campaign, Canvas Justice, and International Justice Mission
- Fair trade goods supplied by Trade as One
- Menlo-Atherton Melodies for Charities will be performing at the walk
When: October 15th from 11am-2pm
Where: Burgess Park, 701 Laurel Street, Menlo Park, CA, 94025
Why: To raise awareness about human trafficking and engage the surronding community in anti-human trafficking efforts.
How: Walkers are encouraged to form teams (four or more walkers) and together the team will walk a total of 27 laps to represent the 27 million slaves in the world today. Walkers can also choose to individually walk 14 laps in honor of the child slaves around the world. Walkers will get a free bag with registration!
